Yahoo is better than Google
You all know Google is the most known search engine out there, but that doesn’t actually mean it’s also the best.
According to the latest studies, Google had like 67% of the web search volume in the US (has like 95% in my country), with Yahoo coming on second with only 20%. So, you might be tempted to believe Google is the best search engine out there. No, it’s just the most popular, cause in terms of effectiveness, the positions are a little different.
Google leads on the number of searches
Effectiveness is measured in "search fulfilment", or how many of the searches got a good result, by reporting the number of fulfilled searches (that resulted in a referral) to the number of total searches. So, as you can see in the chart bellow, Yahoo leads with around 75% effective searches, with Google on second (65%) and MSN third (59%). This means Yahoo is more effective in getting the users what they need? So it seems, but in the end it’s still Google the one delivering the most referrals out there.
But Yahoo is better at search effectiveness
The reality is a lot more complicated than you can see in these two charts. Even tough search fulfilment is better on Yahoo, Google is still the best known search engine out there and nobody can deny this. And I’m sure the next developments in the Google ranking algorithm will take care of this fulfillment problem too. My belief is that Google will eventually provide personalised results, accordingly to the sites you regularly visit and to your preferences. And that should definitely increase the percentage of satisfied users.

Well, maybe you are right, but I admit that I use Google for most of my searches. I’m used to it and it becomes a reflex searching with Google
Yes Diana. I use Google too most of the time. But i use Yahoo too, for specific web analysis commands
But like i said, I’m a freak here in my country. For most people, the only way of finding something on the Internet is Google. GG Larry and Sergei 
i am doing a project in phisicl science. the topic is which is better yahoo or google? this helped me a lot and i understand and believe what you just said. i for one use yahoo b/c thats the first page its on and i always use its images b/c i can just type in my pages i wan to go on. but i do believe in what you are saying. i hope to keep posted over the years of this. thanks a lot.
I have searched for images of indian top sufi scholar khwaja hasan sani nizami in yahoo but there were none in yahoo while google gave me images & related search google proved itself better i think yahoo should upload it Gooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooogle is better
NOT TRUE!! Yahoo is more used in GLOBAL Wide.. Google is used more in the USA! I myself perfer Yahoo!
Yahoo has always had everything in one spot… Google is one big white blank page and you got to dig around to find anything…

I don’t know if there is some kind of learning or transition to do before going to yahoo, but recently, I downloaded the Airmiles/Yahoo search engine and I don’t find what I want even if I go through the first 2 pages of results. When I type the same words in google, I get what I want in the first 4 or 5 results.
Is it because I’m used to search the way google does it or yahoo is just not effective(in this case, the data you presented would be suspicious)?
I like Yahoo, it has allot of interesting features as a home page.
I think yahoo is better for finding porn. That is why i like ”yahoo” than google.

Griffen is definitly stretching the truth to his advantage. Little does everyone know he uses wikipedia and shouldn’t even be commenting on google or yahoo.
Just remember this, was it google that referred me to the poop diary website, nooo. These are the things people want to see. My friend Britney utilizes that diary everyday, and she couldnt live her life if not for yahoo. Google is just a fad, ask Britney, her poop matters.
First and foremost i want to apologize for spelling ur name wrong my good man!! I guess I should have searched on google for the right spelling hahaha (j/k). And yeah poop is important, but my poop is definitely top secret and not for the world to see because my poop doesn’t stink!
Therefore I log my poop on paper and not the computer! In conclusion, Google wouldn’t put out garbage like the poop diary. it’s a crappy website and google is too good for that. Yahoo stinks and puts out crap websites about poo!

So the real question here is not which is better Yahoo! or Google, but rather what would God used if he were searching for something on the internet?
Seeing as how God is a fun guy, i mean he created candy canes, roller coasters and water balloons, it would be safe to assume he would choose a search engine that he can easily relate too, and one that catches his big ass eye.
Remember the bible says that Jesus said “and though who has not Yahoo’d shall cast the first stone”, implying that in fact he endorses Yahoo. Need i really say more?

Google is boring, and people who use it are boring, in my research of over 31,000 Yahoo and Google users, 72% of the Google users were identified as “winey little bitches” compared to 33% of Yahoo users. Also, and i add this is honor of a beautiful girl i know, Wikipedia has deep rooted ties with Yahoo, anyone who is anyone knows that Wikipedia is the bible of information of our generation. Sometimes there are little girls in Long Beach who like to give us men crap about Wikipedia, mostly because they lost there pinky finger during the war and cant reach the W on the keyboard.
I ask you all to send your love to Yahoo, with all your heart praise Jesus who has endorsed it. And laugh, fart and spit at those who feel Google is superior!!!

You know I agree I only use yahoo when I need to search for things. Not saying Google is better, but I prefer yahoo. I can go to both search engines and find the same thing. I am so used to yahoo it’s almost like second nature to type it in. I am sitting here watching this documentary on Google and i’m like hey Yahoo can do the same thing. So go Yahoo I’m with you till the end!
