Why is Apple hilarious
Oh Stevie, Stevie…Today one of my colleagues from work went to the all so expected unveiling of the Macbook Air in my little 3-rd world country, Romania. And here’s what happened there…
The new Macbook Air was showed to the journalists in a very select location called… Ta daaaaa… Starbucks. Amazing ain’t it? 
Besides seeing and touching the unbelievable mega ultra slim and portable Air, the journalist had to endure a boring story about coffee and the history of Starbucks. Come on, just leave me have my coffee already…
And the top of the cake was the Apple Press Kit given to the people present there. Nicely presented inside a DVD case, you might have expected something special, right? Oh, if a Traxdata writable CD (not even a DVD ) with Apple Press Kit written on it with a blue marker was the thing your dreamt about, then yea, it was special… Special like in Special Olympics or something…
So Stevie, is that Apple’s professionalism? Cause a Laser printer or a LibeScribe DVD-Writer ain’t that expensive, you know. Or perhaps you should fire someone. Like Apple’s Romanian PR… Don’t you think so?

Unbelievable… Sounds like an elaborate Romanian joke.
What a cheap skate DVD… no not even a DVD? But I am sure you enjoyed the coffee.
Seriously, that is cheap. You would think that Apple would have ventured away from discs. But oh well, you gotta save money somewhere.

If Apple’s presentation was boring and badly organized, this doesn’t mean Romania is a third world country.

Ciprian, allow me to disagree with you. I admire your nationalism, but the things i see everyday in our beloved Bucharest make me call Romania a 3rd world country. This Apple thing was just one of the small cookies
Oh, and we’re not 23 mils here anymore. A couple o millions are picking up strawberries in Spain

Apple doesn’t have a proper presence in Romania, the company itself is not directly present on the Romanian market. The kids who make up “Apple Romania” are an independent marketing company who are little more than amateurs.
Hopefully our cries will have been heard and Apple will come with a direct presence in Romania. There are people here that really do a good job for Apple.
