Do you have a long term strategy?
I kind of noticed that the biggest flaw of my blog is the lack of a long term strategy. As sad as it is, it is true… And this is translated in one of the following faults of each this blog can be blamed off:
- lack of constant quality posts
- lack of targeted articles
- abundance of posts about gadgets and funny stuff
- failure in building some kind of a community here
Well, i always blame my severe lack of time and motivation for all these. But i now understand i need to put together a long term blogging strategy. That’s why I’ve put together a list of objectives for the next 3-6 months:
Just a quick one
Hey, I’m back with a very short post. I was out yesterday celebrating my name day (yes, again:) ) so i couldn’t post anything.
Besides that, my site has been down for a couple of hours this morning due to server changes. Everything seems up and running now.
Hmmm, and I’m pretty pissed off my new link structure is paying signs of severe weakness, as i dropped a couple of positions in SERPs for some important keywords. Hmmm, but i used 301 redirects. Well, didn’t have time to investigate, but i do hope this is just temporarily and I’ll be back up in a couple of days/weeks. Unfortunately, this kicks a hell of a strike to my December plans. But… I’ll live.
Yea, and Kontera ain’t doing well on my site either. I haven’t seen a lower eCPM yet. But they said i should wait for 2 weeks so the system can optimise the commercials served for my site so… I’ll not jump on the wrong conclusion yet.
Post number 100
It’s not that common for a blog launched in June to reach it’s number 100 post in November, but that’s the case here. So, to celebrate the round number, i thought i’d make a list with my best articles written in this last months.
So, here we go:
Over 10.000 free Photoshop shapes - this was one of my first articles and the most successful one. People really enjoy free packs. I’m not offering the 10.000 package anymore, but there still is an interesting shapes archive for you do download there
The ultimate top 10 computer chairs - Since i spend most of the time in front of a computer, i’ve started searching the Web for the best computer chairs you could get. And then, i put up this nice top 10, that was really appreciated by lots of readers
