Starting a new blog – the idea

Since we live in the Internet era, many of you might want to get together a blog or a site with a blog engine, if you haven’t done it already. I thought I’ll give you a hand, with a tiny series of scrubs that will cover the whole blogging stuff: how can you start a blog, how to gather traffic, create a community and so on.

Today, here’s the first episode: The Idea. Every blog has a purpose, even those stupid MFAs… No matter if you’re thinking about getting yourself a personal blog, or maybe create a business one, you need the idea: What’s this blog going to be about?

Personal blogs don’t need to be targeted on some topics, you can write about whatever you want on them, as they are yours. But, when talking about starting a business from a blog, that’s something different.

With the growing number of sites each day, it’s more than necessary to have an unique blog in order to hit the surface. That’s why a good idea is crucial. A basic rule should be to try not to copy others. Always try to come with something new, a breakthrough. If you achieve this even on a tight niche, the success would be much easier. Of course, not all the big sites came with something new, but they came with improvements. Inspiring from other success stories and enhancing them with some new services and gadgets might be a good solution too.

In the end, don’t forget, the idea is crucial, but nothing can’t be done without lots and lots and lots of hard work…
