On my older computers i did this and everything worked just fine with those. Not to mention that some drivers can be found on third party sites, like the ones for graphics, sound, etc. And last but not least, The automatic update from Windwos 7 should be able to find by itself most (if not all) of the required drivers. Windows 7 is out. My Vaio (VGN-FZ260e) is only 2 years old. I tried installing the 7 upgrade and get BSODs and programs hang, etc. I just off chat with sony support. they have no plans to provide updated drivers for windows 7. I'm selling my Vaio and will NEVER buy another Sony computer again! here’s a bigger issue. Windows 7 is out. My Vaio (VGN-FZ260e) is only 2 years old.
