How hard is to plan a SEM budget?
I’m suppose to put together some kind of Search Engine Marketing budget till Friday and I’m kind of stuck. I never had to do that before so…
Here’s what i’ve got. I’ve divided SEM in PPC and SEO. I’m planning in starting with 60% of the budget invested in PPC and 40% in SEO, equalizing them later on. But this will depend on the short and long term objectives.
So, here’s what i have.
SEO:
- link acquisition (directories, other sites, etc)
- linkbaiting
- buying memberships, ebooks, software
- conferences and trainings
- affiliate building
- using paid services like Press releasesPPC:
- Adwords, Overture, etc
- banners (or text links) on related sites
