Help me help you grow your traffic

Posted by Mike on August 2nd, 2007

We all love traffic don’t we? But we never seem to get enough visitors on our sites. That’s why i thought i’ll put together a plan on how to increase my traffic and also help other fellow bloggers as well.

It’ pretty simple. If you are to get increased numbers of visitors, you must find a way to drive them towards your site. How? By getting more incoming links or more feed subscribers. Links will act as referrals and also as back links, thus increasing your search engines traffic, and subscribers… well, they might end up becoming dedicated readers and part of you blogs’ community.

But how do you get all these? It’s pretty simple, just… play this game. I have posted bellow 7 links (lucky number) to a couple of blogs i read from time to time. Don’t hesitate to visit them, you’ll definitely find some good articles there and you might also join their feeds. What’s the catch? They just have to enter the game, by copying this list on their blogs, cut the last 3 ones and add their own 3 links and feeds on the top. And so on. Other people will then get the new lists from their blogs, thus helping them and me as well. So, in a way, you’re helping me help you :P

As for the people who are willing join this game and are not in the list, just post a comment with your link and I’ll add you in the extended list. That’s it. By the way, this method is proved to increase Alexa and Technorati rankings as well, so don’t hesitate to join…

  1. Interesting but isn’t this against the Google unwritten rules? There was such a game called AlexaRedirect I think.

  2. Hey Daniel. I don’t think this is against any rule, as a lot of people use it nowadays. The problem is that this game is kind of risky, if you get a list from another site, you might end up linking to a bad neighbourhood site and then you’re screwed. But, if you create the list yourself, shouldn’t be any problem at all..

  3. I think the rule is broken when one is doing the same for money. Helping each other out especially new bloggers like me should be encouraged.
