Best iPod Touch cases
Cases for the iPod Touch seem to be a very hot subject right now. The iPod Touch was launched at the beginning of this month, and sales are allready sky high. And if you pay 300 or 400 $ for a brand new gadget, you wouldn’t want it to get scratched or damaged, that’s why an iPod Touch case is a thing you must buy. Let’s see what you can get.
The Invisible Shield - Buy the Invisible Shield for 14.95
The Invisible Shield is not quite and iPod Touch case, but a tiny film layer in which you iPod gets wrapped, that is durable and virtually scratch-proof. The unique thing about the Invisible Shield is that it is so thin that it’s almost invisible, thus protecting your gadget without adding any bulk aspect to the sleek design of the iPod Touch.
Belking leather Folio - Buy it for 29.95$ just $16 now
This one is a little more fancier, a fashion/inspired leather case that suits perfectly your iPod Touch inside. Protects it from scratches, dust and even minor shocks, and you can wear it in your bag or in your pocket. This iPod Touch case even has slots for easier access to controls and dock connectors, and comes in several colors, like Black, Cameo and Persimmon (the last two ones sound fancy, although i have no idea what do they mean :P)
Griffin Elan Form $22 (save $
+ Griffin Elan Convertible
Griffin Elan Form is just a slim pocketable case for your iPod Touch, made from a front hard-shell polycarbonate film, that allows you to control your gadget and protects the screen in the same time, and a top-grain leather back part. This case wraps around your Touch and looks pretty nice. The Elan Form Convertible comes with an additional leather removable flipcover for the front face of your iPod, thus ensuring even better protection against shocks.
This is a classic. A two-piece polycarbonate case, the iClear case protects your iPod from scratches and provides easy access to the touch screen and the connectors, but might not be that good against shocks. But being transparent, looks pretty nice. Will be available soon.
ezView Leather Case - just 29.99$
This might look like an ordinary iPod Touch case but it’s more. Built from high grade leather, it comes with a Light Touch Magnetic Enclosure and also additional compartment, for Credit Cards for example.. The front clear screen protector allows you to easily access your iPod’s screen. The ultra slim profile is completed by the sturdy velcro latch, that transforms this case into a stand, so you no longer have to hold your iPod in your hand while watching videos. The ezView is not yet available, so we don’t know how much is this going to cost.
Griffin Ultimate Armband - buy for $25
For the action part in you, this armband iPod Touch case is the perfect companion at the gym or when you’re jogging. It protects the gadget inside from dust and scratches and it is completely washable. Being lightweight and slim, you can wear it all day long without bothering you. Oh, and it has a reflective trim that makes you more visible at dusk, but that should not make you run on a highway or something…
Of course, there are other cases for your iPod Touch also, but those are the ones i found most interesting. RGS also wrote a nice post about iPod Touch cases, so you might want to check it out too.

That clear case for the iPod touch looks pretty sweet. When I get my iPod Touch I hope those have become available.
ez view leather case looks cool!!!!!!!!!!
Hi, I’m using my iPod touch right now and I would like to know where I can find a cheap but cool iPod touch case.
You can try some of these. They are pretty cool and i don’t find them expensive. Do you?
i was wondering do you think those thick leather cases will weaken the wifi connection
I don’t think it will effect wi-fi capabilities too much. Might have a tiny tiny influence in areas where the signal is poor, but besides that, there shouldn’t be any problem.
theses are reallly cute and smart, but they would be better if they had some option of colors.
I’m surprised that there is no menion of the Orbino Corsa iPod Touch Case. I bought mine at Bergdorf Goodman here in New York. It’s an expensive case, but it is the truest form fit touch case out there. They have some stunning colors.
I went with the Girffin iClear, the Invisible Shield page and reviews scared me off.
By the way, I made some more cases. Each one has its own, unique design and are all, naturally, handmade.
You didn’t mention any of the bad points…
It’s not an iPod Touch review, it’s just a collection of cases. That’s why there are no bad points
Not a big fan of the leather cases so the iClear would have to be the one for me.
The clear ipod case is nice, I can actually see myself getting one of those! Unfortunately I think the leather ones look a bit like something my dad would carry around!
Someone has missed out on the Eco-nique ipod touch leather case that is carbon positive. Have to think about the environment these days you know
I think going handmade is the way to go. Give your iPod Touch something unique! Take a look at Etsy to see what they have or make your own case! Say no to plastic cases!
i’m glad i googled this site. i got an ipod touch last week. i want a clear case, i don’t want a leather one.
You should mention the Waterfield Designs cases. I have the Smart Case and the Travel Case. Great stuff (incredible quality) and a rare breed of a company. They make everything in the USA and they still have real live customer service. Once I called with a question after hours and the owner, Gary, answered and helped me. That’s a first.
Worth checking out.
Thanks for the great article. Keep up the good work.
I purchased the Best Skins Ever case (same as InvisibleShield) After the usual struggles aligning it, it looks as if there’s no cover. The assets:
1. Thin profile is identical to the Touch.
2. Excellent protection against grease-marks on the screen.
3. Surface is impervious to scratches or scuffs.
It does not have protection against droppage, and there’s still a possibility of a screen cracking in a bad accident. I don’t plan to drop it, so that’s not an issue for me. If I were paranoid, I’d probably pick the Naked case, which is completely covered in plastic - but allows allows touch control to work.
There’s quite a large variety of different style handmade cases with different woods - from mahogany,
The handmade, custom wood ipod cases add a touch of class and are a unique way to protect your investment in an ipod touch or iphone.
