Foam in Miami: how could it be so white?

A post written by Mike and published in Away from the PC

Living in a big, crowded and dirty city, the only thing i said after seeing the last Sony Handycam and Cybershot commercial was: Dude, how can it be that white?

But maybe you don’t know what I’m talking about. Sony prepared a new TV ad that was launched today. You can see the clip down below. For the ad, they flooded a couple of blocks in Miami with foam. Everything was covered: people, trees, streets, cars, etc. I have no idea how much did this ad cost, but it definitely is one of the best commercials i ever saw.

Here it is:

And a couple of great photos:

And now, back to the question. How can the foam remain so white? If they were to release it in Bucharest, i guarantee that foam would have became grey in just a couple of minutes from the dust and the dirt. Does this mean Miami is such a clean place? Or where the streets washed and prepared for the release? Perhaps someone from Miami can enlighten me: How could the foam remain so white?

  1. That is one of the coolest commercials I have seen. That would have been so awesome to play in that. I would’ve loved it. Thanks.

  2. Wow! It’s great..anyway consumers deserve a amazing advertisements to view, advertising in this era are not focusing entirely on promotions, but also on entertainment and information where it serves as a passive way of persuading possible customers.

  3. That commercial was sweet, big foam party would be fun. I prefer sony equipment as well, I have a cybershot, Vaio and a nice flat Sony SXRD. There quality is a step above the rest.
