Thanks very much for this useful information about how to stay out of the Google sandbox. It’s just so frustrating to make a site, promote it and then have it kicked off Google after a few weeks. For now I’ll continue to focus on Yahoo! and MSN. Thanks so much for this useful information. David

Well, sandboxed yes. Older sites can be penalized or declassified if using improper optimizing methods

Thanks for the helpful and informative post. I’ve been feeling so frustrated after working so hard on my site and still not getting traffic.

I used your tips to check and it looks like my site is in the sandbox. Just knowing that things should improve with time is a big help, though. Also, good tip about focusing on MSN and Yahoo as well. I always forget there are other search engines.

After reading your article, I confirmed that my site is trapped in google sandbox. I can’t find my blog anywhere on the Google SERP for my keyword. It’s itching and can’t wait no longer to get my blog out of this jail. Thanks for adding my knowledge about this sandbox.

My new site is currently in the google sandbox. I was ranking really well for some keywords but then google gave me the cold shoulder.

I wish I would have read this post before starting though. I created lots of links in a short period, I made some short posts etc.

I can see that Google wants to protect itself from unrealiable websites, but when you deliver better content than 50% of your competitors, you should not get sandboxed, that why it’s not always ‘fair’.

It’s difficult to motivate yourself to keep on posting and working when sandboxed…
I think I’ll just create a new site and see what happens when the other site comes out the sandbox…

I don’t think the sandbox time only 3-4 months, it can upto 1 year, may be 8 months is a normal time. My site have in sandbox nearly 7 months, didn’t know why. All keywords ranked after page4, i’m strange, why all ranking are in page5, no one ranked before page5.
