Diablo 3 – the end of my social life is here

A post written by Mike and published in Rummaging the WWW

From the moment I’ve heard Blizzard is preparing the new Diablo 3, one quote rested in my mind: "the end of my social life is here" . Cause after all, that’s what the sequel of one of the most appreciated and played game in the history of PC games will represent: hundreds and hundreds of hours in front of the PC, building up for the final encounter with Diablo.

And here’s the first trailer of Diablo 3:

The story starts 20 years after the death of Diablo, Mephisto and Baal in Diablo 2, when the forces of evil once again begin to threaten Tristram.  You will be able to play with one of the five characters in a completely new interactive universe. A brand new and improved graphic engine will be used for Diablo 3, that will allow a higher level of detail, vivid effects and an interactive and destructible enviroment.

Diablo 3 will probably not be launched this year, as another great Blizzard sequel is scheduled for the end of 2008: Starcfraft 2, so for now you’re safe, you can still have a social life. For now…

  1. Call me heretic, but i didn’t play diablo I or II, this one looks interesting though :P

  2. I have been doing my best not to pay attention to Diablo 3. I have too much a life now! I can’t get sucked in again….

  3. What a bitter-sweet taste…
I’ve been waiting for this game for years, and now that I finally don’t have time, the bloody thing is on it’s way. Need an app to set my characters level quota at max 30 or I’ll be teething for the 90′s. And that means, as you say; “the end of our social lives as we know it.”

  4. The last one got me hooked up all day and all night. I wonder if this one would surpass that…
