Fabian, I've kind of changed my perspective since writing this post so I will have to agree with you. There are some tools worth the money, but from these, Wordtracker is the only one i still pay for.

Could you share a link towards that post you recommend? Thanks

Mike,

I regret to inform you that all of these memberships are a big waste of time. I have gone through half of the tools that you mention and none of them contain anything that you can't put together in about a half hour and organize in an excel sheet--if it even gets that complicated.

For larger projects, the pursuant must be knowledgeable enough to justify their large payouts.

I recommend everyone to listen to what Matt Cutts has to say as well as read all of Eric Ward's articles as they will give you better insights into today's SEO efforts than most.

It's a sad day for SEO vendors who like to do the easy work and make easy money, but a victory for SEO professionals who truly do the grunt work.

To be honest, this frustrates me too but at the same time makes complete sense.

The only ones who I wish TOTAL INTERNET DEATH for is companies who hack educational sites and post a bogus page link to emulate a .edu link to their site.

I won't mention them as it won't make any difference, but Google better figure this out soon or else India will have more spam penetrating our spam filters
